How do you get a literary agent?
What is a slush pile and how can you get of it?
What does it take to get a book deal?
The path to publication can seem mysterious and impenetrable to aspiring writers, especially in our quickly shifting publishing landscape. Novelist and former acquisitions editor Ashley Shelby offers local writers a two-hour seminar on the ins and outs of the publishing world, including how to write a compelling query letter that hooks a literary agent.
Writers of all interests and skill levels are invited to participate in this free event.
