Join us as Selena comes to speak at our KBF in March. Selina Berning has been the Entrepreneurship Finance Officer at Southwest Initiative Foundation for the past 7 years where she assists small businesses to obtain financing and provides technical assistance to these businesses to help them learn and grow in the operation of their businesses.  Prior to working at Southwest Initiative Foundation, she worked for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage as a Mortgage Processor.  Her over 27 years helping both individuals and businesses has given her insight into working with different types of people through serving and listening to them.  

 

Selina has been active in different roles in her church by being a member of the women’s leadership team, mentoring women, and leading a women’s Bible study.  

 

Whether you’re an employee or business owner, as Christians we are to use our calling to change the culture around you.  In Colossians 3:23 we are told that whatever we do, we are to work as for the Lord.  But how do we do this?  Selina will give you insights on how to use your vocation as a way of serving the Lord and loving your “neighbors”.  We function as the hands of God and we can use our work as a way to bless others.
